Kodak plan of reorganization exclusivity extended through Sept. 19

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, July 18 - Eastman Kodak Co. received a fourth extension of its exclusive period for soliciting acceptances on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Specifically, the company's exclusive solicitation period was extended to Sept. 19 from July 31. According to Thursday's order, no other parties can file a plan during the exclusive period.

Kodak said it filed a plan within the current filing period, but it does not expect every class of impaired claims or interests to accept that plan before the expiration of the exclusive solicitation period.

As a result, the company said final extension of the exclusivity period is required to bridge the remaining weeks to confirmation.

Kodak is a Rochester, N.Y.-based imaging technology products and services provider to the photographic and graphic communications markets. The company filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 19, 2012 under Chapter 11 case number 12-10202.
