Moody's rates East Bay, Calif., utility bonds Aa3/VMIG1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an Aa3 underlying rating and VMIG1 short-term rating to East Bay Municipal Utility District, Calif.'s wastewater system subordinated revenue refunding bonds, series 2008A, 2008B and 2008C.

The issue includes $50 million of series 2008A, $65 million of series 2008B and $69.3 million of series 2008C.

All three series were sold on March 19.

The outlook is stable.
