EaglePicher confirmation hearing pushed back to May 12

New York, April 21 - EaglePicher Holdings Inc.'s hearing to confirm its plan of reorganization has been postponed to May 12, according to a notice filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio on Friday.

The hearing was originally scheduled for April 19.

The delay is to allow the court to consider hearing objections related to the funding of the custodial trusts that are proposed in the plan.

Under the plan of reorganization, some unsecured creditors will receive the recoveries from actions, with the distributions to be handled via trusts.

EaglePicher, a Phoenix-based diversified manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy on April 11, 2005. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-12601.
