EaglePicher gets 120-day exclusivity extension

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Aug. 9 - EaglePicher Holdings, Inc. obtained a 120-day extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

The company's exclusive period to file a plan was extended to Dec. 7 from Aug. 9 and to solicit votes to Feb. 6, 2006 from Oct. 8.

In its motion, EaglePicher said the extension is necessary because, given the volume of activity in making the transition to Chapter 11 operations, it has not had the opportunity to develop and finalize a plan of reorganization or to finalize negotiations or discuss the terms of the plan with multiple creditor constituencies.

EaglePicher, a Phoenix-based diversified manufacturer, filed for Chapter 11 on April 11. Its case number is 05-12601.
