Eagle Bulk bankruptcy plan unanimously accepted by voting creditors

Pittsburgh, Sept. 11 – Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc.’s plan of reorganization was unanimously accepted by voting holders of pre-bankruptcy credit facility claims, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Specifically, 59 holders of $1,188,847,632 of pre-bankruptcy credit facility claims voted to accept the plan.

The plan confirmation hearing is scheduled for Sept. 18.

Eagle Bulk is a Marshall Islands corporation based in New York that owns dry bulk vessels and transports bulk cargoes. The company filed bankruptcy on Aug. 6 under Chapter 11 case number 14-12303.
