Eagle Bancorp shareholder sells 95,000 shares, keeps 4.64% interest

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 14 - A group of Eagle Bancorp, Inc. investors led by Sandler O'Neill Asset Management, LLC sold 95,000 shares of the company's stock between Nov. 3 and Dec. 4 at prices from $9.06 to $10.83 per share, according to a schedule 13D/A filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday.

On Sept. 16, Sandler O'Neill bought 1 million shares for $8.20 per share for an initial stake of 5.13%, a prior SEC filing said.

The investors beneficially own 905,000 shares, or 4.64%, of the company's outstanding stock.

Eagle Bancorp is the Bethesda, Md., bank holding company for EagleBank, a commercial and consumer bank.
