New Issue: Durham County, N.C., prices $60 million G.O. bonds

New York, Oct. 28 - Durham County in North Carolina priced $60 million in series 2010 general obligation bonds, according to a pricing sheet.

The sale included $25.98 million in series 2010A bonds and $34.02 million in series 2010B Build America Bonds. The offering originally included $65.755 million in series 2010C G.O. refunding bonds, but that portion was pulled.

The bonds (Aaa/AAA/) were sold through Bank of America Merrill Lynch with Stephens Inc. as the co-manager for the 2010B bonds.

The 2010A bonds are due 2011 to 2018 with 2% to 5% coupons. The 2010B bonds are due 2019 to 2030 with coupons from 3.505% to 5.234%, all priced at par.

Proceeds will be used to pay capital costs associated with school, community college and museum improvements, as well as to discharge an existing G.O. bond anticipation note with Bank of America NA and refund G.O. debt.
