S&P gives DreamWorks notes B
Standard & Poor's said it assigned DreamWorks Animation SKG Inc. a B corporate credit rating.
The outlook is stable.
In addition, the agency assigned DreamWorks' proposed $300 million seven-year senior unsecured notes an issue-level rating of B with a recovery rating of 3, indicating the expectation for meaningful (50%-70%) recovery in the event of a payment default.
S&P said the B rating on DreamWorks reflects the company's "weak" business risk profile (based on the agency's criteria), resulting from the company's limited scale and volatile profitability.
