Goldman Sachs plans eight-year protected notes with cap linked to Dow

Chicago, April 29 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% notes due May 30, 2024 linked to the Dow Jones industrial average, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

The payout at maturity will be par plus any index gain, up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,700 to $1,800 for each $1,000 principal amount. The exact cap will be set at pricing.

If the index falls, the payout will be par.

Goldman, Sachs & Co. is the agent.

The notes will price on May 24 and settle on May 27.

The Cusip number is 40054KBA3.
