GS Finance to sell index-linked notes on Dow Jones industrial average

Knoxville, Tenn., March 7 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% index-linked notes due March 28, 2024 tied to the Dow Jones industrial average, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

If the index finishes at or above the initial level, the payout at maturity will be par of $1,000 plus any index gain, subject to a maximum settlement amount of $1,800 to $1,900 per $1,000 of notes, which will be set at pricing.

If the index falls, the payout will be par.

Goldman Sachs & Co. is the agent.

The notes (Cusip: 40054K4R4) will price March 24 and settle March 30.
