Barclays plans to price buffered SuperTrack notes linked to Dow

By Marisa Wong

Madison, Wis., Aug. 4 – Barclays Bank plc plans to price 0% buffered SuperTrack notes due Aug. 29, 2019 linked to the Dow Jones industrial average, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the index return is greater than zero, the payout at maturity will be par plus the index return. If the index return is flat or negative but the index declines by no more than the buffer percentage, the payout will be par. Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for every 1% that the index declines beyond the buffer percentage.

The buffer percentage is expected to be 20% to 25% and will be set at pricing.

Barclays is the agent.

The notes will price Aug. 26 and settle Aug. 29.

The Cusip number is 06741UGQ1.
