New Issue: Goldman Sachs prices $300,000 variable-coupon notes due 2020 linked to three indexes

By Toni Weeks

San Luis Obispo, Calif., Jan. 31 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. priced $300,000 of variable-coupon notes due Jan. 31, 2020 linked to three indexes, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The underlying indexes include the Euro Stoxx 50 index, the MSCI EASEA index and the Dow Jones industrial average.

The index levels will be measured from pricing to the corresponding coupon observation date, which will fall at the end of January in each year.

On each annual coupon payment date, holders will receive per $1,000 principal amount of notes,

• $2.50 if the closing levels of all indexes on the corresponding coupon observation date are less than the initial levels;

• $10.00 if only one of the indexes finishes at or above its initial level on the observation date;

• $20.00 if only two of the indexes finish at or above their initial levels on the observation date; or

• $60.00 if all of the indexes finish at or above their initial levels on the observation date.

The payout at maturity will be par.
