S&P gives Cornell University, N.Y., bonds AA+/A-1+

Standard & Poor's said it assigned an AA+/A-1+ rating to Dormitory Authority of the State of New York's $65 million of series 2008B revenue bonds and $65 million of series 2008C revenue bonds, both issued for Cornell University.

At the same time, S&P said it affirmed the AA+ rating on the bonds previously issued for and by Cornell.

The outlook is stable.

S&P also said it affirmed the A-1+ short-term rating on various bonds and notes issued by and for the university and the A-1+ rating on the university's tax-exempt and taxable commercial paper programs.
