District of Columbia calls $56 million American Association for the Advancement of Science bonds

Cleveland, Feb. 22 - The District of Columbia announced that it will redeem its $56,155,000 of series 1997 American Association for the Advancement of Science revenue bonds due Jan. 1, 2016 and Jan. 1, 2027.

The bonds have 5.25% and 5.125% coupons.

The bonds will be redeemed on March 24 at par, plus accrued interest to the redemption date.

First National Bank of Maryland is the trustee.

The redemption is conditional on the deposit of sufficient funds with the paying agent prior to the redemption date.
