Moody's gives Aaa/VMIG1 to National Academy of Sciences bonds

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a rating of Aaa/VMIG1 to $65 million in variable-rate demand revenue bonds, series 2008A, issued by the District of Columbia for the National Academy of Sciences.

The expected sale date is June 19.

The rating is based on a letter of credit provided by Bank of America, NA, which Moody's rates Aaa for its long-term obligations and P-1 for its short-term obligations.
