Dexter Community Schools, Mich., to sell $61.67 million building and refunding bonds

New York, Sept. 3 - The Dexter Community Schools in Washtenaw and Livingston counties in Michigan will price $61.67 million in series 2008 school building and site and refunding bonds, according to a preliminary official statement.

The bonds will be sold on a negotiated basis with Stifel Nicolaus and Fifth Third Securities as the senior managers.

The bonds are due from 2009 to 2028.

The sale is expected to take place in September.

Proceeds will be used for constructing and furnishing school buildings in the district, purchasing land for the school buildings and refunding existing obligations of the district.
