S&P rates Detroit airport bonds A

Standard & Poor's said it assigned an A rating and stable outlook to Wayne County Airport Authority, Mich.'s $145 million of series 2008A senior-lien airport revenue refunding bonds issued for Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport.

At the same time, S&P said it affirmed the A underlying rating on the authority's senior-lien bonds and the A- underlying rating on the authority's junior-lien bonds.

The outlook is stable.

S&P said that the rating incorporates Delta Air Lines' recent announcement of interest in acquiring Northwest Airlines.
