Los Angeles Water and Power defeases $437.89 million of bonds

Madison, Wis., April 24 – The Department of Water and Power of the City of Los Angeles gave notice that it defeased a portion of its power system revenue bonds, 2005 series A, subseries A-1 and subseries A-2.

The following bonds will be redeemed on July 1:

• $495,000 of 4.5% subseries A-1 bonds due July 1, 2031;

• $69.66 million of 5% subseries A-1 bonds due July 1, 2031;

• $27,175,000 of 4.75% subseries A-1 bonds due July 1, 2036;

• $28,485,000 of 4.625% subseries A-1 bonds due July 1, 2037;

• $189.47 million of 5% subseries A-1 bonds due July 1, 2035;

• $5 million of 5% subseries A-1 bonds due July 1, 2040;

• $32.1 million of 4.75% subseries A-2 bonds due July 1, 2028;

• $24.5 million of 4.5% subseries A-2 bonds due July 1, 2029; and

• $61 million of 4.75% subseries A-2 bonds due July 1, 2030.
