Deb Shops sets meeting date for merger vote

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 24 - Deb Shops, Inc. will hold a special meeting of shareholders at 10 a.m. ET on Oct. 16 to vote on the company's acquisition by DSI Holdings, LLC and DSI Acquisition, Inc.

It was previously reported that the company agreed to be acquired by the Lee Equity Partners, LLC affiliate for $27.25 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at $395 million.

Philadelphia-based Deb Shops is a national specialty retailer operating 337 stores in 42 states under the DEB and Tops 'N Bottoms names.
