Moody's: Air Products notes A2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A2 rating to Air Products and Chemicals, Inc.'s senior unsecured notes due 2017.

The agency said it also assigned a prospective A2 rating to Air Products' senior unsecured shelf. The outlook is stable.

"Air Products continues to benefit from the inherent stability of the industrial gas industry," said John Rogers, a Moody's senior vice president, in a news release.

"The company continues to perform better than most other industrial companies, despite a weakening global economic outlook. Credit metrics are expected to weaken modestly over the next several quarters due to further weakness in its end markets and the additional debt related to the Indura acquisition."
