S&P rates CSX notes BBB+

S&P said it assigned CSX Corp.’s proposed senior notes due 2030 and 2049 a BBB+ rating.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, which may include share buybacks and capital spending along with redeeming the company’s 3.7% notes due in October.
