Credit Suisse to price 0% ProNotes linked to global index basket

By Jennifer Chiou

New York, March 21 - Credit Suisse (USA), Inc. is planning to sell an issue of 0% ProNotes due 2010 linked to a global index basket, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The basket will be made up of the S&P 500 index with a 60% weight, Dow Jones Euro Stoxx 50 index with a 20% weight and the Nikkei 225 index, also with a 20% weight.

The notes are expected to mature in July 2010.

The return will be dependent on the performance of the index basket during the term of the securities. If the final basket level is greater than the initial basket level, investors will share in the percentage gain. Investors will receive par if the basket level is less than or equal to the initial level.

Credit Suisse will be the underwriter.
