Credit Suisse files shelf

Washington, Feb. 21 - Credit Suisse (USA), Inc. filed for a debt shelf of an unspecified dollar amount in an S-3ASR registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The shelf includes senior and subordinated debt securities. Securities may be offered in the form of convertibles.
The New York-based financial services company said proceeds from the offerings will be used for general corporate purposes.
