Credit Suisse to sell 0% notes linked to FTSE/Xinhua China 25, RTX, Bovespa

New York, Feb. 2 - Credit Suisse (USA), Inc. plans to sell an offering of 0% ProNotes due Aug. 31, 2010 linked to the value of a global basket of equity indexes, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The basket is made up of the FTSE/Xinhua China 25 index, the RTX Russian Traded Index and the Bovespa Brazil index, each with a 33.33% weight.

The payout at maturity will be par plus the return on the basket, capped at 70%. The minimum payout is par.

Credit Suisse will be the underwriter of the issue. Settlement is expected for Feb. 3.
