Coyne International exclusive plan-filing period extended to Jan. 29

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Dec. 2 – Coyne International Enterprises Corp. received court approval to extend its exclusive periods for filing a Chapter 11 plan of reorganization and soliciting votes on the plan, according to an order filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of New York.

Coyne’s exclusive filing period was extended through Jan. 29 from Nov. 28 and its solicitation period through March 28 from Jan. 27.

The company said its progress in resolving various issues related to the Chapter 11 case justifies granting the extensions.

“To this end, the debtor and its professionals have been working diligently to continue the operations of the business in order to obtain going concern value at the sales, while at the same time handling the vast number of crucial administrative and business decisions in the Chapter 11 case,” the motion said.

Coyne International Enterprises, a Syracuse, N.Y.-based commercial laundry company, filed for bankruptcy on July 31. The Chapter 11 case number is 15-31160.
