Moody's rates Council of Europe note Aa1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an Aa1 senior unsecured rating to a Canadian dollar-denominated note issued by the Council of Europe Development Bank.

Moody's notes the principal and interest payments will be made in Canadian dollars, but that noteholders will receive payments in U.S. dollars unless they notify the Depository Trust Co. they elect to receive these payments in Canadian dollars. The costs of any conversion to U.S. dollars will be borne by the relevant noteholder and will be deducted from any payments.

The outlook is stable.
