Fitch rates Andina de Fomento notes A+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an A+ long-term rating to the $250 million 5¾% senior notes due 2017 issued by Venezuela's Corporacion Andina de Fomento.

The agency said the ratings have long reflected the preferred creditor privileges conferred on the company by its member countries, its strong capital base and a solid track record in terms of asset quality and profitability.

The ratings are limited by the volatility of the economic environments in which the institution operates, its significant loan concentrations and the member countries' creditworthiness, Fitch said.
