Compania de Alimentos Fargo informed of involuntary Chapter 11, in discussions with petitioners

Pittsburgh, Oct. 12 - Compania de Alimentos Fargo SA said it has been formally informed of the involuntary Chapter 11 case filed against it in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, according to a company news release.

As previously reported, the involuntary case was filed on Sept. 11 by Rainbow Global High Yield Fund, Argo Capital Investors Fund, the Star Fund and The Rainmac Fund.

The company said it is in discussions with the funds' lawyers to schedule meetings and exchange documents in connection with the bankruptcy filing, as well as to find solutions that allow the company to continue with its concurso mercantil proceedings in Argentina.

Compania de Alimentos Fargo is a Buenos Aires, Argentina-based producer and distributor of packaged bread and bakery products in Argentina. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-12128.
