By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, July 18 - Compania de Alimentos Fargo said it plans to hold a special meeting of bondholders by Oct. 31 in an effort to advance the concurso proceedings of Fargo and its Panificacion Argentina SA subsidiary, according to a company news release.

In addition, Fargo said an exclusivity extension status conference will be held Nov. 18. An exclusivity extension hearing is expected to be scheduled for Nov. 25.

Fargo said Bismark Acquisition LLC has also agreed not to exercise its right to suspend the company's guaranty agreement before Dec. 31.

Compania de Alimentos Fargo is a Buenos Aires-based producer and distributor of packaged bread and bakery products in Argentina. Its Chapter 11 case was dismissed by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York on Oct. 12, 2007.
