S&P upgrades CFE, notes to BBB+

Standard & Poor's said it raised its foreign currency ratings on Comision Federal De Electricidad (CFE) to BBB+ from BBB and its local currency rating to A from A-.

The agency also raised the ratings on CFE's senior unsecured notes due 2021, 2024 and 2042 to BBB+ from BBB and affirmed the mxAAA national scale rating on CFE.

S&P said the rating actions follow the recent one-notch upgrade on Mexico to foreign currency BBB+ and local currency A.
