Moody's assigns CFE notes Baa1/Aaa.mx

Moody's de Mexico, SA de CV said it assigned a Baa1 global scale rating and an Aaa.mx Mexican national scale rating to Comision Federal de Electricidad's (CFE) proposed senior unsecured floating-rate local notes Cfegcb 13.

The proposed local notes (certificados bursatiles) will be the sixth issuance under the trust Fideicomiso de Administracion de Gastos Previos No. 10248 (FAGP) with an authorized amount of Ps. 2.7 billion. The program allows for the issuance of peso or UDI-denominated senior unsecured local notes for up to the total amount of the program on a revolving basis.

The outlook is stable.

The assigned Baa1 and Aaa.mx ratings are based on the unconditional and irrevocable senior unsecured guarantee provided by an indemnification contract (Contrato de Indemnizacion) between CFE and the trustee, Bancomext.
