Moody's: Comision Federal de Electricidad notes Baa1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa1 global-scale rating to Comision Federal de Electricidad's proposed senior unsecured fixed-rate global notes due 2021 for $1 billion.

The company also said it affirmed the company's existing Baa1/Aaa.mx ratings.

A stable outlook also was assigned.

The ratings consider that the proposed notes will be direct obligations of the company, Moody's said.

The ratings also take into account a baseline credit assessment of 10, the Mexican government as a support provider and estimates of a high degree of implied government support in the case of financial distress, the agency said.
