Moody's: Comcast, NBC unchanged

Moody's Investors Service said it does not expect an impact on the Baa1 senior unsecured ratings of Comcast Corp. due to the requirements and restrictions imposed by regulators for its pending acquisition of NBC Universal Inc.

There are no mandated divestitures associated with the transaction or substantive changes to carriage and retransmission that would impose or accelerate a material change in either of the companies' business models, Moody's said.

The agency said it believes that its forecasts for the companies will not be impacted by regulatory intervention imposed as a condition for regulatory approval for completing Comcast's acquisition of 51% of NBC Universal from General Electric.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of this month, Moody's said.
