Moody’s assigns 3i Group notes Baa1

Moody’s Investors Service said it assigned a Baa1 rating to 3i Group plc’s new proposed senior unsecured notes and affirmed the company’s Baa1 issuer rating and the Baa1 ratings on 3i’s outstanding senior unsecured notes.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

The agency changed the outlook to negative from stable.

“The change in the company’s outlook to negative from stable reflects the expected impact the economic downturn prompted by the coronavirus pandemic will have on 3i’s performance,” Moody’s said in a press release.
