Moody's gives AGA Medical, loan B2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a B2 corporate family rating to AGA Medical Corp. and a B2 to the company's $240 million senior secured credit facility.

The agency said the ratings reflect AGA's relatively small size, lack of significant product line diversification, strong operating margins, strong financial metrics and relatively short product lifecycles.

The ratings also reflect AGA's rapid growth, patent protection and the possible extension of its basic Amplatzer occluder product design to other applications with larger market potential, Moody's added.
