S&P: AGA Medical on positive watch

Standard & Poor's said that AGA Medical Corp.'s ratings remain on CreditWatch with positive implications pending the outcome of the nonjury patent litigation trial with Medtronic Corp.

S&P said that a favorable outcome from the trial, even if appealed by Medtronic, would result in a rating upgrade to BB-.

In the event of an unfavorable outcome, the agency said it would base its rating actions on the amount of collateral that the court requires to be posted.
