Moody’s: Coach unaffected by acquisition

Moody’s Investors Service said news that Coach Inc. has agreed to acquire Stuart Weitzman is viewed as a credit positive for Coach.

The agency said it expects this transaction to be immediately accretive to earnings and is considered complementary to Coach’s existing business.

There is no immediate impact on Coach’s Baa2 senior unsecured shelf rating or the stable rating outlook, Moody’s said.
