Knoxville, Tenn., May 15 - African Queen Mines Ltd. said it raised C$441,810 in the second tranche of a C$1.28 million private placement of units. The non-brokered deal priced for C$1.2 million March 24 and the company raised C$836,220 on April 20.
The company sold 4,260,100 units at C$0.30 per unit. It sold 2,787,400 units in the first tranche and 1,472,700 units in this one.
The units each consist of one common share and one half-share warrant, with each whole warrant exercisable at C$0.45 for two years.
Proceeds will be used for work programs on the company's gold projects in Mozambique as well as potential property acquisitions and working capital.
African Queen is a mineral exploration company based in Vancouver, B.C.
