Moody's assigns Clorox bonds Baa1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa1 rating to Clorox Co.’s $500 million of senior unsecured notes.

Proceeds will be used to repay borrowings under the company's revolver, with the remainder being used for general corporate purposes.

Clorox's existing ratings, including the Baa1 senior unsecured, are not affected, and the outlook is stable, the agency said.
