S&P lifts Las Vegas McCarran Airport bonds

Standard & Poor's said it raised its long-term rating to AAA from A+ and assigned its A+ underlying rating to Clark County, Nev.'s airport system subordinate-lien revenue bonds, series 2008A and 2008B, issued on behalf of the Las Vegas McCarran International Airport.

The long-term ratings are based on a bond insurance policy with FSA (AAA). The AAA rated bonds also have a short-term A-1+ rating based on standby bond purchase agreements from Dexia Credit Local (A-1+) and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, SA (A-1+).
