Moody's assigns Aa1 to Clark County, Nev., water bonds

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an Aa1 rating to Clark County, Nev.'s $400 million general obligation (limited tax) bond bank bonds, series 2008. The outlook is stable.

The expected sale date is June 4.

Proceeds will fund a portion of the South Nevada Water Authority's capital plan, specifically a portion of the authority's third deep water intake in Lake Mead.
