S&P gives A-1+ to Clark County, Nev., bonds

Standard & Poor's said it assigned an A-1+ short-term rating to Clark County, Nev.'s $200 million of general obligation (limited-tax) bond bank commercial paper notes, series 2008A and 2008B.

The rating is based on a direct-pay letter of credit from Bank of America, which is rated AA+.
