Moody's gives Aserta financial strength Baa3

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned Baa3 global local currency insurance financial strength ratings to the two surety company subsidiaries of Grupo Financiero Aserta, SA de CV - Afianzadora Aserta, SA de CV and Afianzadora Insurgentes, SA de CV.

In addition, Moody's de México said it has assigned Aa3.mx national-scale insurer financial strength ratings to these companies.

The outlook is stable.

According to the agency, Aserta owns two of the leading surety companies in Mexico, making it the leading surety group in Mexico with a 24% market share based on premiums written for the full-year 2009.
