Fitch puts CIT on watch

Fitch Ratings said it placed CIT Group Inc.'s BBB- rating on rating watch negative reflecting significant operating environment headwinds due to the disruption to economic activity and financial markets from the coronavirus pandemic.

“This review was part of Fitch's ongoing horizontal review of all U.S. financial institutions, Fitch said in a press release.
