Wynit Distribution gets court approval to sell remaining inventory

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Nov. 30 – Wynit Distribution, LLC obtained court approval to sell some of its remaining inventory through one or more sales, according to an order filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Minnesota.

The company said the assets being sold include inventory that some parties claim they conveyed to Wynit on consignment. The company’s lender agents also claim a first-priority lien against the inventory.

A list attached to the sale motion indicates that the inventory is comprised of numerous computer software titles.

Wynit said the assets to be sold have a limited “shelf life” driven by the rapid evolution of existing products and the rapid development of new products, so it is “critically important to sell the assets as quickly as reasonably possible to maximize value for the debtors’ creditors.”

Conway MacKenzie will act as the sale agent.

Eden Prairie, Minn.-based Wynit distributes technology products. The company filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 8 under Chapter 11 case number 17-42726.
