Whiting Petroleum to repay bank debt with unit offering proceeds

Minneapolis, March 13 - Whiting Petroleum Corp. plans to use the proceeds of its 16 million unit offering to repay a portion of the debt outstanding under its credit agreement, the company announced in a press release.

Whiting Petroleum is a Denver-based independent oil and gas company.
