Salem Communications calls $17.5 million of 9 5/8% notes due 2016

San Diego, May 12 - Salem Communications Corp. has issued a call to redeem $17.5 million of its $270 million of 9 5/8% senior secured second-lien notes due Dec. 15, 2016 on June 1, according to an announcement.

The redemption price will be 103 plus accrued interest.
