Telecom Argentina looks to amend notes indenture to limit unit's capital expenditures

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Feb. 10 - Telecom Argentina SA said it is considering alternatives to amend the notes indenture for its series A notes due 2014 and series B notes due 2011 to eliminate covenants that limit the ability of subsidiary Telecom Personal SA to make capital expenditures and commitments on reinvestment of distribution payments received from the unit.

According to a 6-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Telecom Argentina said it will analyze the applicable legal procedures and explore the market possibilities to obtain noteholder consent.

Telecom Argentina is a Buenos Aires, Argentina, telecommunications company.
