New Issue: Barclays prices $9.95 million of return optimization securities tied to S&P 500

Columbus, Ohio, Feb. 26 – Barclays Bank plc priced $9.95 million of return optimization securities due April 28, 2017 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If the index finishes above its initial level, the payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus triple the gain, up to a maximum return of 15.75%.
Investors will be fully exposed to any losses.
UBS Financial Services Inc. and Barclays Capital Inc. are the underwriters.
