Southwest Airlines to price $500 million five-year senior notes

Virginia Beach, Nov. 2 – Southwest Airlines Co. is in the market with a $500 million offering of senior notes (Baa1//BBB+) due 2020, according to a 424B5 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Citigroup Global Markets Inc., BofA Merrill Lynch and Barclays are the bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Southwest Airlines is a Dallas-based airline company.
